About Me

My name is Laura Young.

I am a twenty-something, newlywed, Mississippi girl recently moved across the Mississippi River by my sweet husband to his home state - the fabulous Louisiana. I am learning all sorts of things about gumbo, bayous, alligators & of course, Saints football.

I am mother to an adorable, rambunctious, chocolate lab puppy crowned "Avery Mae" who has a bright future in duck hunting, but apparently a future shoe-eating contest winner as well.

I love photography, traveling, and all things vintage.

I love reading and writing, I go crazy over a good inspirational quote.

I believe in back porch swings at sunset.

My passion is my relationship with my Creator and Lord Jesus Christ and I am honored to get to share his love and grace with anyone willing to receive the greatest gift of all.

I love college football, although we are currently a house divided when it comes to choosing teams.

I attended the University of Mississippi and graduated with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in May 2012.

I love my job and the fact that I get to form relationships with my patients and serve others on a daily basis.

I have been blessed with some of the most amazing friends a girl could ask for and look forward to all those I will meet through the blog community.
